Mike Fournier has over 20 years experience in home and cottage maintenance. What started out as a necessity, acquiring the skills to get his own home and cottage projects done to his own high standards, has turned into a passion for doing the same for others who are looking for experienced quality maintenance and repairs.
Mike has sharpened his skills working maintenance for a major fishing camp on Lake of the Woods, a home renovator in Winnipeg, and other projects for home and cottage owners.
As a former graphic designer, Mike has an eye for design he brings to everything he does. He is trained in 3D design, which means he can sketch up your project so you can get a picture of it’s full potential before it’s built! He has used computer aided design extensively for his own home and cottage design and for projects on the Winnipeg River. He finds it to be versatile, improves efficiencies, and a great fit for his creative handyman process. Michael is always using his imagination to better renovation projects in the challenging environment our part of the world/woods can be.
Through necessity and imagination, Mike is also an all star re-purposer. When clients call him for projects, he will – with their permission – look at the project with an eye to re-use materials and pieces that still have some life in them. The goal is always to reduce what goes to landfill, cost, and reliance on often limited supply chains, and to honour those historical family “treasures”.
